Punjab CM asks Education Minister to Submit a report on Teachers’ Protest
Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has asked the Education Minister OP Soni to submit a report on the struggle of Punjab Government teachers.
The Education Department on Monday suspended five union leaders. They were among those 11 people who were sitting on fast-unto-death in Patiala against the decision passed by the Cabinet. Those five union leaders were working on contractual basis under SSA/RMSA.
The cabinet has reduced the salaries of Sarav Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhmik Shikha Abhiyan (RMSA) teachers from Rs 45,800 to Rs 15,000.
