Himachal Pradesh Revises Bus Fare Rates from May 8, 2025

The Government of Himachal Pradesh, under the Department of Transport, has officially announced the revised stage carriage bus fare rates for 2025. The updated rates, notified on 8th May 2025, are applicable across the state, including plains and hilly regions. This decision is issued under Section 67 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

These rates represent the maximum permissible fares and are inclusive of all applicable taxes. The directions are effective immediately from the date of notification.
Future Fare Enhancements
The notification also states that future fare revisions may be considered periodically based on inflation and recommendations by the Department of Transport. The Minister-in-Charge holds the authority to approve such changes.
